Part 1: What this is and how it works
Welcome. This is a short, structured evening routine for a busy mind. It takes 10 minutes, one page and one pen. You set a timer, write down what is circling in your head, sort it, pick one next step, and close the page.
What this does and does not do
It does:
- Give your evening thoughts a fixed place and a fixed time, so they do not have to run all night.
- Give you four timed steps, so you are never staring at a blank page wondering what to do.
- Help you end the evening with one small, written next step instead of a pile of "I should."
It does not:
- Treat, diagnose or cure anything. It is a wind-down habit, a piece of general self-help, not therapy.
- Promise you will sleep better, feel calm every night, or never overthink again. Some evenings it will feel useful and some evenings it will feel ordinary. Both are fine.
- Replace advice from a doctor, therapist or counselor. There is a "talk to a professional if" section at the end of Part 3.
