Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use Whole Life HQ, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, zoom or voice control, and people with low vision, color blindness or limited mobility. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That is a goal, not a certificate: no outside audit has been done yet.
What we do
- Pages use real headings, lists, buttons and links, and every page has a "skip to content" link.
- You can use the whole shop with a keyboard, and you can see where focus is.
- Text is plain and short. Body text is large and has strong contrast against the background.
- Photos have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Our products are written text. They print cleanly in black and white, and you can read them on any screen at any zoom level. Nothing depends on sound or video.
- Motion is kept to a minimum, and most of it stops if your device is set to "reduce motion".
Known gaps
- A few links and small buttons on phones, such as breadcrumbs, some footer links and rows in link lists, are shorter than the 44 pixel touch size we aim for.
- On some generated cover pictures, a decorative shape can sit close to the title and lower its contrast. The title is always also written as text next to the cover.
- The Explore menu in the header adds about 23 stops when you tab through the page. The "skip to content" link jumps past them.
- On the Print page, the browser tab title says "Printable" for every sheet.
- The site is shown in a light color scheme only. There is no dark mode.
- We have not run the site through an outside audit or tested it with a wide range of screen readers.
- Third-party pages, such as the Stripe payment page and Google sign-in, follow their own accessibility practices.

If something is hard or impossible for you to use, email hello@wholelifehq.com with the page address and what happened. A real person answers, usually within one working day. If you cannot use a product in its normal form, tell us and we will send it in a form you can use, for example as plain text. See also our help page.
