Part 1: Start here, and what anchor sleep is
This planner helps two adults (or one adult and a helper) write down who is on duty and who is off duty during the newborn weeks, so that each adult has one protected, longer stretch of sleep every 24 hours. It is a planning tool for the adults' sleep. That is all it does.
What it does not do. It does not cover infant sleep, feeding methods, or training of any kind. For anything about how your newborn sleeps or is fed, follow your pediatrician's guidance, including their safe-sleep guidance. It is also not medical advice, and it cannot promise how any night will go. Newborns set their own schedule in these weeks, and a plan only works when it bends.
