Part 1: Start here

This plan takes you to a 10K (6.2 miles) in twelve weeks on just three runs a week. It is built for people whose weeks are already full: parents, shift workers, people with long commutes, anyone who has tried a five-day plan and watched it fall apart by week three. Every run is short and fits a time box, and the plan tells you what to do when life gets in the way, which it will.

You do not need to be fast. You need to be steady, patient and kind to yourself on the weeks that go sideways.

Please read this first. This plan is general education, not medical advice. Check with your doctor before starting if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury or surgery. Stop and see a doctor if you have chest pain or pressure, dizziness, fainting, a racing or uneven heartbeat that does not settle, severe breathlessness that does not ease when you slow down, or sharp pain in a joint, bone or tendon.
