Home, money and work
Declutter in a weekend
To declutter in a weekend you need a small scope, a timer and somewhere for things to go. Pick two or three spaces, such as the entryway, the kitchen counters and one closet, work in 25-minute rounds, and sort into keep, donate, trash and not sure. A weekend will not fix a lifetime of stuff, but it gives you a visible win and a rhythm to continue.

Common questions
Where should I start?
Start where the clutter bothers you most or where you will notice the change every day, like the entryway or kitchen counter.
How do I decide what to keep?
Ask whether you used it in the last year, whether it is useful or loved, and whether it has a home. If not, it goes in the donate or trash bag.
What about sentimental items?
Put them in one box to decide on later. Do not rule on sentimental items during a weekend sprint.
How do I keep it from coming back?
Give every item a home, use a weekly reset, and do a ten-minute tidy when you miss a day. The restart card (coming soon) is made for that.
