Part 1: The countdown calendar, 29 October to 26 November 2026
This bundle holds three products: the Thanksgiving Day Timeline (oven and stovetop, minute by minute), the First-Time Host Course (six lessons with recipes), and these extras: a dated countdown calendar, shopping lists by guest count, and a guest task sheet with scripts. The calendar and lists work with the timeline and the course, and do not repeat them.
Dates are for 2026, when Thanksgiving is Thursday, 26 November. In any other year, find the fourth Thursday of November and count back from it by the same number of days.
How to use it: each week has a page. Tick off tasks as you finish them. Tasks marked 10 or 20 minutes are meant to fit around a work day.
Week 4: Thursday 29 October to Wednesday 4 November (the plan week)
- Thu 29 Oct (15 min): decide the date and time of dinner: ________
- Thu 29 Oct (15 min): write the guest list and a headcount: ________
- Fri 30 Oct (10 min): send invitations, with one question: "Any food allergies or diets I should know about?"
- Sat 31 Oct (20 min): check your equipment: roasting pan, rack, thermometer (32°F in ice water), 9x13 and 8x8 dishes, foil.
- Sun 1 Nov (20 min): pick the menu from the course, and decide which dishes to buy.
- Mon 2 Nov (10 min): note who is vegetarian, gluten-free or has an allergy.
- Tue 3 Nov (10 min): order a fresh turkey if you want one, or look for a frozen one.
- Wed 4 Nov (15 min): measure the fridge shelf and the oven. Does the turkey pan fit?
