Part 1: Lesson 1 - Shop
Welcome to the course. Over six short lessons you will build your own weekly cycle for cooking for one: shop, store, prep, cook, freeze, rotate. By the end you will have a cycle written down, tested for a week, and adjusted.
What this course does and does not do
It gives you a method for buying, storing and using food in amounts that suit one person, with worksheets, recipes sized for one and three worked weeks. It does not promise any saving, change in health or weight, and it does not tell you what to eat. Cost figures are estimates; use your own prices. Food safety notes are general information. Check the packaging and official food-safety guidance, and ask a doctor or registered dietitian about any medical or dietary needs.
How the course works
Each lesson takes 20 to 30 minutes to read and about the same to do. The worksheets use fill-in lines. Print them or copy them onto paper. Do one lesson, then try it that week. You do not need special equipment: a pan, a pot, a baking tray, containers with lids, a marker and tape.
